 Great Alpine Ride |

Couple of weekends ago me and two other guys (Mark and Greg) took 4 days to a round trip to Jindabyne and back. I have been wanting to do this ride for ages and we were lucky to get a 4 days of great weather (sunny and not to hot)
Followed a few routes out of BB. Essentially went Healsville, Black Spur to Mansfield. Then did the Mansfield to Whitfield ride and then on to Bright. Up and over the Tawonga Gap (great road) and spent first night in Mt Beauty.
Second day was a big one from Mt Beauty all the way to Jindy. Was a great day with tons of great roads. Amazing once you get out of town a bit the lack of traffic and no cops....which was a good thing as the temptation to twist the throttle is always present. Highlights included a detour off the Murray Valley Hwy to basically follow the Murray River through to Khancoban. Great road. Meet a few local guys from Albury who lead the charge through here. They must have known the road pretty well and we thought if there are cops they are going to get hit first. The run up to Thredbo was also teriffic. The road is in remarkably good knick and has a good mix of cnrs. Posted a few photos below.

Hey Sean, great shots mate!
Jeeze that brings back some memories for me... I know I'm going to have to get back out there and finish that ride. In fact, the section from Mt Beauty back through Omeo is the only bit of road I missed out on, thanks to an off duty copper and a bit of target fixation  I'd love to get back ujp there some day.
