should have been good for a flat 40 there with my 42 @ PI... there's about 2 seconds a lap between the two tracks.
make your own luck :)

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with my time considering it's a stock standard road bike running road tyres.

Plus it was my first time on the fireblade... and I was breaking-in new riding gear.

Next time I'll use a 10HZ bluetooth GPS receiver with my phone for better accuracy. Kept losing the GPS signal with the phone in my leathers.

After 2 days, my best was a 2:12, timed via a stop watch (us plebs can't afford RCs)
Not blindingly quick but fun and in pace with others in the green group.
There was a fair bit of mismatched riders in groups, we timed guys doing 2.10's in the slow!

Here's something I found re groups:

After working a few months now at the creek here is what I think about lap times.

RED= Very fast mothers that sometimes push to the limits were they are taking the bike home in a box.

Green = Riders who don’t want to be pushed off the track by red group riders ( Ducati riders..wade), are fast enough to race in local competitions , also have had a shit load of tracks day under their belts.

Yellow = Road riders in general, but a very mixed bunch at times, there are some who think they are Valentino Rossi but to be honest I’ve seen my local postie handle a bike better.

White = It like letting a bunch of hungry Jack Russell’s lose on the chicken farm, all trying to be faster than the rider in front.
